Serving Texas by Providing Confidence and Security for Over 100 Years Founded in 1908, TLTA is a statewide trade association representing the Texas title insurance industry and currently serving over 13,000 professionals involved in the safe and efficient transfer of real estate. In the course of their daily work, our membership serves over a million consumers each year. With active members in every Texas county, TLTA membership comprises over 90 percent of all title insurance agents and underwriters licensed to do business in Texas. TLTA members provide certainty, efficiency and security to real estate transactions by conducting title searches, examinations, closings and issuing title insurance to protect real property owners and mortgage lenders against losses from defects in titles. TLTA provides a comprehensive program of regulatory and legislative advocacy on the state and federal level, a full line-up of educational programming, including a professional certification program and the most up-to-date industry news and information through our e-newsletters, website and other resources.
