The Colorado State University System has three campuses, each with very distinct roles and missions. The CSU campuses serve the state, region, country, and the world, educating over 40,000 new and returning scholars annually. Highly-skilled graduates number more than 6,800 a year, and more than 200,000 alumni live around the globe. The CSU System involves a total operating budget of $1.06 billion, with annual research expenditures totaling more than $340 million. Colorado State University in Fort Collins, the System’s flagship, is a doctoral-granting research university with a student body of nearly 30,000. As the only land-grant institution in the state, CSU has been serving Colorado since 1870. CSU boasts top-ranked business, veterinary medicine, and journalism schools, as well as groundbreaking research in atmospheric sciences, infectious diseases, and clean energy technologies. In addition, the CSU Extension offices, in 60 of the 64 counties in the state, offer community-oriented education, research, and 4-H programs. Colorado State University-Pueblo is a federally designated Hispanic-Serving Institution, serving nearly 5,000 students. Diverse, intimate, and supportive, the Pueblo campus offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in business, education, engineering and the humanities. CSU-Pueblo delivers unique programs in mechatronics, railroad engineering and automotive industry management. CSU-Global Campus is the nation’s first, independent, 100 percent online public university.
