Functioning as HKU's extension arm, HKU SPACE has been one of the leading local providers in continuing education since 1957. The School's mission is to offer opportunities to the local community for personal enrichment and career advancement. Course enrolments have exceeded 2.62 million in the past 60 years. The School provides a wide range of part-time courses offered at all academic levels across three main disciplines: Business and Finance; Humanities, Languages & Law; and Life Sciences & Technology. Full-time sub-degree programmes are provided through the HKU SPACE Community College while overseas degree courses are offered by the International College (IC). The Institute for China Business (ICB) coordinates the School's programmes offered in Mainland China. The HKU SPACE Po Leung Kuk Stanley Ho Community College (HPSHCC) is a joint venture with a leading charitable association, Po Leung Kuk. HKU SPACE collaborates with a wide range of academic and professional institutions globally. The School will continue to explore opportunities for further cooperation with reputable institutions, both local and overseas, in order to offer a greater variety of high quality and relevant lifelong learning programmes to students.
